Fully Detached - A two-week solo exhibition by Sebastian Koseda spotlighting the housing crisis and the hostile side of British architecture.

Exhibition Foreword -

Last year people were worried about heating their homes,
this year people are worried about having homes.
In an era of rising energy and aggravated nervous systems,
it’s getting harder to believe we are supposed to live like this.

Fully Detached displays no imagined future, speculative timeline or designed fiction. Instead it spotlights the condition of the city today and the united sense of displacement within it.

Sebastian Koseda uses graphic design and sculpture to challenge pre-existing modes of corporate visual communication to the point of self-critique.

The featured works interrogate the tools and language employed to maintain the contemporary city as a purgatory.

Anti-Climb Paint Paintings,
2023

•Anti-Climb Paint
•Canvas 3 x 900mm x 2000mm

The anti-climb paint paintings defend themselves as artworks, never drying, ever evolving and virtually unmovable. When recontextualised in the gallery space the paint itself becomes the menace, intrusive as opposed to a deterrent.
